Training Services
Training should make life easier for both you and your dog. My goal is to create practical, kind, and effective plans that fit your life, your schedule, and your dog’s needs. Every session focuses on real communication, clear progress, and reducing stress for everyone involved.
Whether you’re working through reactivity, anxiety, manners, aggression, or something else, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward step by step.
What to Expect
The process always starts with a complimentary Discovery Call. This short chat lets us talk about your dog, your goals, and what kind of support will help you most. From there, we schedule an assessment or first session and begin building your plan.
I design each program around you and your dog. Some families need one or two sessions to get on track. Others prefer longer-term support for ongoing behaviour work. I’ll help you decide what fits best and guide you every step of the way.
You’ll always receive clear feedback, written notes, and realistic steps to practice between sessions. My goal is to make training approachable and achievable, not overwhelming.
Session Options
In-Home Training
Private sessions in your home focus on behaviour where it actually happens. This is often the best choice for dogs who struggle with guests, leash walking, anxiety, or settling. Working in your dog’s familiar environment helps identify patterns and make lasting progress. We’ll go at your dog’s pace, adjusting as needed to keep everyone comfortable and confident. You’ll learn how to manage your dog’s environment, set up success, and reinforce calm, predictable behaviour.
Virtual Training
Virtual sessions are great for clients anywhere, or for dogs who find in-person work stressful at first. We meet by video to talk through your goals, observe behaviour, and plan your next steps. You’ll get personalized notes and homework so you can start right away. Virtual training can be just as effective as in-person sessions, especially for coaching owners and building early skills. It also offers flexibility for busy schedules.
In-Person at Airdrie Puppy Pals
If you prefer a controlled training environment, we can meet at the Airdrie Puppy Pals facility in Kings Heights. This space allows for structured practice with fewer distractions and a focus on skill-building. It’s a good fit for dogs ready to work on confidence and new learning.
Common Behaviour Concerns
I work with dogs of all ages and temperaments. Common issues include:
Reactivity toward other dogs or people
Aggression or growling at home or on walks
Separation distress or anxiety when left alone
Fear, nervousness, or overexcitement
Leash pulling and poor recall
Jumping, barking, or general manners
Puppy foundations and new dog adjustment
If you’re unsure whether your dog’s behaviour fits one of these, reach out anyway. I’ll listen and guide you toward the best next step.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to see results?
Every dog and family is different, but many clients see change after the first session. Progress depends on consistency and how often you practice.
What training methods do you use?
I use relationship-based, evidence-informed methods that focus on trust and communication. I never use intimidation, pain, or fear.
Do you work with all breeds and ages?
Yes. I work with puppies, adult dogs, and seniors, including all breeds and mixes.
Can more than one person join the session?
Yes, and I encourage it. Everyone who interacts with your dog should be involved so we stay consistent.
What if I’m nervous or feel like I’ve tried everything?
That’s completely okay. Many clients come to me feeling frustrated or unsure. My job is to help you feel supported and make a plan that actually works.
