Certified Dog Behavior Consultant

Hello, I'm Nikki.

If you're here, chances are something with your dog isn't quite working, and you're looking for support. Maybe your dog barks, lunges, or struggles when they see other dogs. Maybe they panic when left alone, or have a hard time coping with everyday situations. Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you reached out.

I'm a certified dog behaviour consultant and professional trainer with over ten years of experience. I also own and work hands-on at Airdrie Puppy Pals, where I see dogs in real-life situations every day, not just in training sessions. That experience helps me understand what's realistic, what's actually manageable, and what might work for you and your dog.

Working Together

Every dog and every family is different, so I don't work from a script. Some people come to me knowing exactly what they need help with. Others just know something feels off and want guidance on what to do next. Wherever you are, we'll start there.

My focus is on understanding what's really going on with your dog. Not just what the behaviour looks like, but why it's happening. From there, we'll figure out a plan that makes sense for your situation, your goals, and your daily life.

Sessions are available in person or online, and the approach is always tailored to your dog and what you're dealing with. Whether you need a full behaviour assessment, focused training support, or just some clear direction, we'll work out what's going to be most helpful for you.

What To Expect

The process begins by getting to know your dog as an individual. We'll look at their history, daily routines, and the situations that feel challenging. From there, we'll talk through practical next steps that support learning, safety, and progress in a way that feels manageable.

Sessions are collaborative. You'll have space to ask questions, build understanding, and gain clarity around how to support your dog between sessions. You don't need to come in with the right words or a perfect explanation. Part of my role is helping you sort through what matters most.

The pace, structure, and focus of our work together are shaped around what you're seeing at home and what feels most important right now. Follow-up support is available as things change and progress unfolds.

The first step is a complimentary phone call. We'll talk about what you're seeing, what concerns you most, and what kind of support might be most helpful. We'll also discuss pricing, availability, and package options. From there, we can decide together whether behaviour consulting, private training, or something else is the right next step for you and your dog.

Sessions are available in person (in your home or at Airdrie Puppy Pals) and online.
