Private Training

If you're looking for personalized, one-on-one support for you and your dog, private training can help. Whether you're bringing home a new puppy, working on leash manners, building off-leash recall, or tackling specific goals, private sessions offer the individual attention and tailored guidance you need to make real progress.

How It Works

Private training is designed specifically for you and your dog. It's a great option if you want personal guidance, prefer to work at your own pace, or have specific goals you'd like to focus on.

Sessions move at your dog's pace and focus on what matters most to you. We can meet at my facility, at your home, or work together virtually, depending on what works best for your situation. You'll get personalized coaching and helpful feedback to support your progress between sessions.

Private training works well on its own or alongside other training. It offers a flexible starting point before moving into more specific goals, or it can provide focused support for skill building at any stage.

What I Can Help With

Private training supports both foundational skills and more advanced goals through individualized, one-on-one sessions. We can focus on learning new skills, improving existing ones, or building toward more advanced training over time.

I work with families on things like potty training and routines, teething and puppy nipping, door manners, walking politely on a loose leash, teaching and practicing cues like sit, down, stay, and place, working on jumping, improving attention around distractions, and much more.

Whatever you're working on, we'll create a plan that fits your life and helps you feel confident moving forward.

My Approach

Good training starts with understanding how dogs learn and how to teach in a way that makes sense for both dogs and people. With so much conflicting advice online, working with an experienced trainer helps take the guesswork out of training and keeps progress moving in the right direction.

My private training is grounded in learning theory and behavior science, with a strong focus on practical skills that work in real life. I help families understand not just what to teach, but how to teach it, how to adjust when things feel stuck, and how to build skills step by step. This approach supports steady progress and helps you feel confident practicing between sessions.

Get Started

The first step is a complimentary phone call. We'll talk about what you're seeing, what concerns you most, and what kind of support might be most helpful. We'll also discuss pricing, availability, and package options. From there, we can decide together whether behavior consulting, private training, or something else is the right next step for you and your dog.
