About Me

As far back as I can remember, I have always loved dogs. Over a decade ago, I started my first company as a way to connect with other dog lovers and organize playdates for my three dogs. From there, my passion for understanding dog behavior kept growing, leading me to focus on helping dogs and their people build harmonious lives together.

Today, I work alongside families to create training and behavior solutions that are kind, practical, and personalized. I believe success happens when we support both ends of the leash by helping people and dogs work together with patience, understanding, and clear communication. My focus is on setting you and your dog up for long-term success by using methods that prioritize trust, learning, and real-life results, without using fear, force or punitive tools.

Whether you are welcoming a new puppy, teaching leash skills and recall, improving door manners, managing separation anxiety, or working through more complex behavior concerns like reactivity or aggression, I am here to support you. Every training plan is customized to fit your dog's needs, your goals, and your real life.

Education and Learning

When I realized I wanted to help dogs and people professionally, I made a commitment to learn from the most trusted and ethical sources available. Over the years, I have earned respected third-party certifications, including:

  • Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) and Accredited Dog Trainer (IAABC-ADT) through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC)

  • Certified Behavior Consultant Canine – Knowledge Assessed (CBCC-KA) and Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT)

  • Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP) through Fear Free Pets

To stay current and continue improving my knowledge, I attend professional conferences and educational events every year. Some of the learning opportunities I have participated in include:

  • Humane World for Animals Animal Care Expo

  • Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Conference

  • Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) International Conference

  • IAABC Foundation Conference

  • Dr. Karen Overall’s Behavior on the Beach

  • The Ranch with Ken Ramirez (Karen Pryor Academy)

Staying up to date with the latest humane and evidence-informed methods means the advice and coaching you receive is based on real understanding, not outdated techniques. My goal is always to provide practical, personalized, and ethical support that strengthens the bond between you and your dog.
